CFRI MARCH 2011 SEMINAR
Avoiding the "Con" in Construction
This seminar comprises two one-hour sessions. During the first hour, Kia will address contractor qualifications. She will explain the State requirements for contractor licensing and insurance- what they are, why they are important, and how to verify compliancy at state websites. While using the Internet to perform this research, Kia will also navigate to Clerk of Court websites and the State’s Division of Corporations to verify contractor character. During the second portion of the seminar, Kia will share other essential “good contracting” practices. Kia will demonstrate how to create a complete and concise scope of work. Contractor scams will also be revealed.
